Depend Fitted maximum protection briefs

Jan 02 2012 05:36 AM

I have not used them for a while, but need some disposables for overnight stay. (Normally I use cloth+ plastic pants at night).

But in checking the site, it looks like Depends no longer has them? Seems like everything is now underwear-type products. Is this correct, no more products for heavy night wetting?

Well, if you're used to the overnight protection offered by cloth diapers you may be disappointed with any diaper, let alone the middling protection you'll get from Depends tape-on diapers.

They do still offer them, though I do know they're getting harder and harder to find in stores. Here on the Depend website you'll find them under the Products tab, though they're alternately called "tear-off" and "protection with tabs." You know, just to make 'em easy to find. ;)

My advice? If you're going to be in a situation where you absolutely cannot use cloth, bring along a thin towel or hand towel and wrap it around any disposable you use, and then put your plastic pants on over that. That will give you some side protection, but the cloth will easily pass for something innocuous you normally have with you.

Just my thoughts.

Hi typical_dude,

We have either the Depend® Adjustable Underwear or the Depend® Protection with Tabs that may fit your needs. You can user our product locator to find where to buy in stores or buy online. You can also use the Live Chat feature located at the top right hand corner of every page. To use the Live Help chat feature, click on the link that says 'Chat Online'. A pop-up box will open where you can put your first name, email address, your question, and then hit send.

Hope this helps.

How do the "adjustable underwear" or "protection with tabs" compare to the "fitted maximum protection briefs", which I have used before? Do they have the same absorbency?

In my opinion, the adjustable underwear leak worse than the pull-up. The adjustable underwear are also not made as well as the pull-up or brief.

I use the brief when traveling and never had a leak. However, I cannot undo the brief when I need to use the bathroom. That's very frustrating for me. So, the pull-ups are still my choice when home, and although, sometimes the pull-ups leak, they are not as bad as other brands.

the brief can be pulled down like undies, try doing that and you should be able to use the restroom without a problem(assuming you dont have an accident of course)

Typical dude... the protection with tabs is exactly the same as the fitted maximum protection brief. The only thing I've noticed is the leg gathers work better and I find I don't get as many crotch leaks and its easier to use with a stuffer pad
